We are the statewide community foundation since 1949, working with organizations and individuals to achieve their charitable goals. With assets of more than $152 million, Minnesota Community Foundation serves more than 500 funds throughout the state including 34 community funds.

A Year to Remember for Community Funds

2006 marked the first time seven Community Funds of Minnesota Community Foundation each brought in more than $100,000, either for the unrestricted endowment or the family of funds program. Overall the Community Funds program experienced significant growth in 2006 going from $1,269,247 in total contributions in 2005 to $3,191,575 at the end of 2006. Click here to read more.

Vision Grants
 

Minnesota Community Foundation completed its Statewide Initiative investing in visionary and innovative ideas. In the first two years of the Initiative, the Foundation used an RFP process and awarded approximately $200,000 to 20 projects across the state in areas of education, environment, health, economic status, and public safety.

In the final year of the Initiative, the Foundation focused on sharing and distributing ideas learned in the first two years, and explored the best use of dollars to capitalize on learnings and relationships established in the first two years.
