As Chief Investment Officer at The Saint Paul & Minnesota Community Foundations, Wei helps provide a strong and consistent financial foundation to support our core mission. He joined the Foundations in 2017.

He previously headed both Alternative and Public Equity Investments at Sentry Insurance as an officer of the firm. Prior to being recruited by Sentry in 2007, Wei was the Private Equity Investment Officer for the State of Oregon. Wei started his post-MBA career at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners focusing on evaluating global fund and co-investment opportunities in Private Equity.

Wei was born and raised in Shanghai, China and received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. When in Oregon, he served as an Adjunct Professor of Corporate Finance and International Finance for the MBA program at Marylhurst University.

Wei enjoys spending time with his wife and their twins, traveling and playing tennis or golf together as a family.
